This zone is a truly awesome investment area and a must visit depending on your company and Asia strategy. To say a few personal comments from a non-biased perspective. Again I am commenting independently and I am not paid in any way shape or form.
I drove up to the zone the other day from my home that is close to the bay in Huangdao. I was reflecting on how pleasant that was. Huangdao is a vibrant district of Qingdao and rated as some of the highest quality of living in the country. Green and clean with a beautiful seaside and the Pearl Mountains off to the west. It took 30 minutes to drive up a 10 lane road at a nice slow speed which I have not experienced anywhere in China. Typically you have to drive for hours through rough polluted roads and heavy traffic to get to a factory, it is not pleasant and not a good way to start your day for anyone.
Not only does the zone offer outstanding location but the layout of the entire zone is thoughtful, strategic managed by professional internationally minded people to serve your interests. The zone has attracted some of the biggest and most advanced companies in the world.
As of 2019 a total of 460 enterprises have been introduced into the Zone, including 7 projects from Fortune Global 500; by the end of 2017, totally over 30 billion yuan of fixed-asset investment has been completed with 0.45 billion dollars of foreign capital and 4 billion yuan of domestic capital.
The Zone offers many advantages from highly connected roads and railways to the Qingdao Seaport within a ten minute drive but infrastructure is just the beginning of the international vision of the leaders. The zone also hosts Innovative Startup and Cultural Platforms, newly launched Ecommerce platforms and preferential investment policies including the IPR Protection Center and IPR Expert Consultation Committee in the Park to protect the legal interests of enterprises settling down in the zone.
